Lecture on Azerbaijan's foreign policy delivered at Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations

On the invitation of the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Ambassador Vagif Sadigov has met with the students and staff of this School. In the frame of School’s “Foreign Policy: Issues and Challenges” program, the Azerbaijani Ambassador delivered a lecture on Azerbaijan's foreign policy. He, in particular, highlighted the ancient and modern policy of Azerbaijan, spoke of the successful state building policy in the country, current socio-economic reforms and world-scale energy and transport projects of regional and international importance, initiated by Azerbaijan.
Touching upon the current phase of settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Ambassador Sadigov spoke of Armenia’s aggression against the country and its heavy consequences, brought to the attention of the visitors the position of Azerbaijan based on the principles of international law.
Finally, Ambassador answered the questions of students.
