15 fishermen alive after boat capsizes near Langkawi

Fifteen fishermen who were feared missing after their boat capsized about 10 nautical miles south of Pulau Payar, near Langkawi, have been rescued, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) said, according to Bernama.

An MMEA patrol boat, vessel 41, had gone to the scene after receiving a report on the incident about 10.45pm yesterday.

Another MMEA boat, two Marine Police Force boats and several fishing boats were also involved in the search and rescue operation.
