Ali Hasanov: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will not be able to attend Eastern Partnership Riga Summit

“President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will not be able to attend the Eastern Partnership Summit of the European Union to be held in Riga on May 21-22,” said the Azerbaijani President`s Aide for Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov.
He noted that the President has extremely busy schedule as very little time was left to the start of the first European Games and preparations for this important event entered the final stage. “That’s why the head of state will not be able to attend the Summit.”
Mr. Hasanov said Azerbaijan will be represented at the Riga Summit by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Chief of the Administration's Foreign Relations Department Novruz Mammadov and Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
