Ilham Zakiyev has added another gold to Azerbaijan`s medal count at the First European Games as he won the men`s +90 blind judo competition.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, his wife, chairperson of the Baku 2015 First European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva and family members watched the Azerbaijani judoka`s final bout.
In his first bout, Ilham Zakiyev defeated Greek Klimis Papachristos with a 27 second ippon. He secured the gold medal after defeating Ukraine`s Oleksandr Pominov in the final.
President Ilham Aliyev presented medals to the winners.
Azerbaijan`s national flag was raised and state anthem was played at the victory ceremony.
