ASAN Service has been presented in Berlin as part of a visit of a delegation led by chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov.
The delegation held a range of meetings with German officials, including a member of the Bundestag, deputy head of the German delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Jurgen Klimke, head of the German delegation to PACE Axel Fischer, representatives of German federal ministries of foreign and internal affairs and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and chair of the Germany–South Caucasus Parliamentary Friendship Group Karin Strenz.
Inam Karimov highlighted recent reforms carried out under President Ilham Aliyev to modernize the public administration system in Azerbaijan. Mr. Karimov provided an insight into the activity of ASAN service as well as other electronic government services. He underlined the advantages of ASAN service as a successful model in terms of efficiency in provision of public services, noting that about 5 million citizens who had visited the centers in the last two years were satisfied with the services.
The German officials hailed the role of ASAN Service in ensuring transparency in provision of public services.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Germany Parviz Shahbazov hailed cooperation between the two countries.
