“Aida” opera presented by vocal artists of three countries

The Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater has staged “Aida” opera by Giuseppe Verdi, on February 28, with participation of the opera stars of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine.

The part of Aida was sounded by Honored Artist Victoria Chenskaya, the Honored Artist of Ukraine. She is a winner of numerous international competitions. She has been on tours in Germany, Hungary, Scotland, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Thailand and other countries.

People's Artist of Georgia, State Prize winner, laureate of international contest of vocalists, prof.Teimuraz Gugushvili has performed the part of Radames. Dmitri Grishin, the Honored Artist of Ukraine was invited to perform Amonasro part.

One of the leading roles in opera, Amneris, was played by Fidan Hajiyeva, the Honored Artist of Azerbaijan.

The soloists also included Azerbaijani People's Artist Ali Asgarov (bass), Honored Artists Gulnaz Ismayilova, Akram Poladov and others.

The conductor of the opera was David Kintsurashvili, art director of the Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tbilisi.

The performance was cheered by audience.
