Ankara death toll rises to 37, says Turkish minister

The death toll from Sunday night’s car bomb attack in Ankara has risen to 37, Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu said Monday, according to Anadolu Agency.

Muezzinoglu told reporters that 30 died at the blast scene in Kizilay Square and seven in hospital.

According to a statement released by the health ministry at midday, there were 60 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals across the capital, 13 of who were being treated in intensive care.

The bomb exploded at a major transport hub that includes Ankara’s busiest metro station and dozens of bus stops.
