Turkey expects that the Turkish Stream gas pipeline is likely to be launched after 2017, Turkish Ambassador to Russia Umit Yardim told Interfax.
Turkey and Russia "have not yet reached the stage of the project's start," he said.
"Perhaps it would not be correct today to name 2016 or 2017 as the date of the gas pipeline's launch," Yardim said.
"In my opinion, if we manage to implement this project, this would be a great victory for both Turkey and Russia. Contacts between our countries on the matter are continuing," he said.
