“Asan İmza” among Global mobileGov Awards nominees

Baku, April 22, AZERTAC

The Azerbaijan technology of mobile identity and electronic signature "Asan İmza" has been nominated for the prestigious Global mobileGov Awards, held within the mobileGov World Summit 2017, devoted to the best practices of countries in the mobile public services implementation. The main goal of Global mobileGov Awards is to mark a valuable contribution to the development of new and innovative mobile services or solutions for the public sector.

The mobileGov World Summit to take place on 7- 9 May 2017 in Brighton, UK, traditionally gathers professionals of mobile industry, Public sector representatives, Scientific Production Associations and academic community for discussion and exchange of recent achievements and challenges. Senior representatives of the public sector from the countries where such services are most effectively implemented will share their experiences and lessons learnt in the use of mobile technologies in the public sector. Based on the conference results, the jury of the Global mobileGov Awards will evaluate the competition projects in terms of their innovation, efficiency and other parameters. It should be noted that this is a valuable opportunity for the recognition of "Asan İmza" at the world level, which will allow to acquaint the government, business representatives and citizens of the countries participating in the conference with the unique Azerbaijani technology. Especially considering the fact that "Asan İmza" was nominated in the same rank with the solutions in this field, implemented by recognized leaders of the innovative industry, such as Singapore, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, India, Turkey and Russia.

The service "Asan İmza", the presentation of which is regularly held at conferences and exhibitions around the world, is presented under the brand "Made in Azerbaijan" in this contest as well. The "Asan İmza" Mobile Identity and Signature Service provides ubiquitous and secure access to public and private electronic services and equates to a national identity at the legislative level. "Asan İmza" is nominated for such an important concept for Azerbaijan as "Mobile ID is your mobile passport for the next-generation e-government". Based on PKI (public key infrastructure), it is an indispensable tool providing opportunities in all economic sectors, allowing digital identification of the identity and create a signature equivalent to a handwritten signature regulated by the law on electronic signature of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Due to solution mobility and easiness to use, Asan İmza enjoys growing popularity among citizens and business, and is a key component of the mobile state.

The "Asan İmza" mobile electronic signature is a technology that allows using a mobile phone as an electronic identity card and a means of signing documents. The main advantage of "Asan İmza" is that no additional devices and software are required to read the smart card. To use the service, it is enough to have a mobile phone and a SIM-card containing digital authentication keys and signatures. The electronic signature certificates used in the "Asan İmza" system are provided by the Asan Certification Services Center of the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
