Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry: Armenia tries to justify its provocations against Azerbaijani civilians

"Armenia tries to justify its provocations against the Azerbaijani civilians," press service of Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry has told AZERTAC as it commented on false news recently spread by the Armenian media about the Azerbaijani armed forces' alleged shelling of Armenian villages located near the state border.
"Such kind of reports published by the Armenian government is aimed to mislead different countries, which they are in the military alliance with, by involving them in its dirty adventure and justify its provocations against the Azerbaijani civilians residing in the border villages," the ministry said.
"The Azerbaijani Kamarli and Gaymagli villages of Qazakh, as well as Kohanabi, Agbulag, and Aghdam villages of Tovuz district came under of the Armenian military units located in Berd and Noyemberyan districts, who used various caliber weapons.
As a result, civilian facilities in the settlements, their cultivated areas and private farms were damaged. In order to prevent the provocation, the enemy was silenced as a result of the immediate retaliatory fire by the Azerbaijani armed forces," the ministry said.
"Armenia's criminal-political regime is fully responsible for further escalation of situation and for possible consequences," the ministry added.
