Azerbaijan, Australia to develop relations

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met the delegation comprising members of the Australia-Azerbaijan parliamentary friendship group led by MP Luke Simpkins.
Expressing satisfaction with the current bilateral relations between the two countries, Mammadyarov said the reciprocal visits were important in terms of promoting these ties.
The FM stressed the role of parliamentary diplomacy to develop the interstate relations and praised establishment of the friendship groups of legislative bodies.
Australian MP Luke Simpkins congratulated Mr. Mammadyarov with the successful election process, noting they observed the parliamentary elections in a number of polling stations in Baku and Absheron.
According to him, there haven’t been any violations at any of polling stations they visited.
“The elections were fair, transparent, in line with democratic standards”, he emphasized.
FM Elmar Mammadyarov and Luke Simpkins had comprehensive exchange of views to develop economic-trade and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
