Azerbaijan, Israel discuss prospects for agrarian cooperation
Baku, December 6 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Minister of Agriculture Heydar Asadov has met Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture.
Minister Asadov stressed the necessity for developing the Azerbaijan-Israel relations in the agrarian sector, and invited Israeli businessmen to Azerbaijan.
The Minister also put forward some proposals to speed up the signing of an agreement on agriculture between Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture and Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as to promote experience exchange, conduct meetings with businessmen and apply Israeli experience in creation of agricultural cooperatives.
The ambassador noted that groundwork for the Azerbaijani-Israeli relations was laid by national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.
Harpaz praised the atmosphere of tolerance in Azerbaijan.
The Israeli diplomat said he would spare no efforts to contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the agrarian sector. He underlined the need for organizing bilateral business meetings.
