Azerbaijan, Malta sign three documents

Azerbaijan and Malta have today signed three documents as the two countries’ foreign ministers Elmar Mammadyarov and George Vella met in Baku.
The documents include the Convention for the Elimination of Double Taxation with Respect to Income and Prevention of Tax Avoidance, the Agreement on Cooperation in Youth and Sports Fields, the Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malta.
The two ministers also discussed the current state of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Malta, and ways to expand these relations.
They hailed opportunities for expanding economic, energy and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
Mr Mammadyarov spoke of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, particularly the latest incidents on the frontline and the line of contact between the Azerbaijani and Armenian troops.
The Azerbaijani FM noted that the Armenian armed forces must withdraw from all occupied territories of Azerbaijan, military occupation must be ceased and a comprehensive political process should be launched in order to ensure conflict settlement.
They also discussed international and regional issues.
