Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met Chair of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Senate of the Republic of Mexico, Gabriela Cuevas Barron to discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
The sides exchanged views on various aspects of relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico.
The sides underlined the role of parliamentary diplomacy in terms of contributing to the development of bilateral relations, stressed the significance of increasing reciprocal visits of the two countries’ delegations.
Noting the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as the main obstacle to a comprehensive development of integration processes in the region, Elmar Mammadyarov said the Armenian troops should be withdrawn from the occupied territories to solve the problem.
The meeting discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
