Azerbaijan, Mongolia discuss prospects for cooperation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today met Mongolian counterpart Tsend Munkh-Orgil on the sidelines of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly.
They discussed how to develop bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Mongolia on various fronts, and touched upon the bilateral cooperation within international organisations.
FM Mammadyarov highlighted Azerbaijan-initiated energy and transport projects in the region.
The FM hailed the important role of Azerbaijan in connecting European and Asian transport corridors, adding cooperation on the development of the transport corridors in Euroasia would be fruitful for the landlocked countries.
The Mongolian FM said his country was interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan.
They also stressed the importance of reciprocal visits in terms of developing bilateral ties between the two countries even further.
