Baku, April 17 (AZERTAC). According to esctoday.com., a joint press conference was held at the Eurovision Center on Monday, where the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and 2012 Eurovision Song Contest Core Team met the media reps and revealed more information and details about the preparations and organization for the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. They were pleased to announce that the Baku Crystal Hall has been completed on time.
Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov made a statement to the press:" Although the weather created some challenges, Baku Crystal Hall was completed in accordance with all standards".

The Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation spoke about the enormous work, which has been done by Eurovision Song Contest 2012 Organizing Committee and Core Team to hold this influential contest at high level. He also stated that Baku Crystal Hall had been already delivered to the show partner Brainpool. "There were some challenges in the building of the venue because of bad weather and, as a result, we experienced a three-week delay. However, the arena has been finally commissioned in full compliance with all the required standards. Eurovision Song Contest 2012 will be the first event to be hosted in this venue. Baku Crystal Hall will then be used for large events and festivals".
Anar Alakbarov stated that delegations, media members and fans arriving in Baku will be provided with hotel accommodation to fully meet their needs. In addition, a new apartment complex built for officers of the State Border Service will be allocated to fans. "This apartment complex built for State Border Service officers was supposed to be commissioned in September. However, the plans have changed and at present the building is repaired and furnished to be delivered to Eurovision Song Contest 2012 Core Team by May 1. The building will be returned to the Border Service after the contest. And the officers will get furnished apartments repaired 3 months ahead of the original schedule".
According to the statements, special shuttle buses will be used in order to create comfortable conditions for guests coming to Baku. Each of the 42 country delegations will be provided with two vehicles 24 hours a day.
The Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation also spoke about plans for special services in hotels and preparation of menus in English for restaurants among other things.
