An official ceremony has been held in Greece to launch the Memorandum on Graduate Program in "Management and Transportation of Oil and Gas" signed by the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Western Macedonia, Greece, and Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
The event was attended by representative of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Education Samir Valiyev, UNEC Rector Adalat Muradov and the university employees.
In his remarks, Rector of TEI of Western Macedonia Asimopoulos Nikolaos noted that the implementation of the program was of pivotal importance not only for the expansion of academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities, but for the strengthening of educational, scientific, cultural and social ties between the two countries.
Greek Deputy Minister of Education Theodosis Pelegrinis hailed human resources potential in Azerbaijan, which he described as “the leading country” of the South Caucasus.
Representative of the Ministry of Education Samir Valiyev highlighted educational reforms in Azerbaijan in the last two years. He pointed to measures to boost the process of human capital building, which contributed to “the fundamental changes in the development of education and science” in the country.
