Azerbaijan warns of retaliation if Armenia continues shelling settlements
Baku, April 27, AZERTAC
Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spokesman, colonel Vagif Dargahli dismissed as baseless the Armenian reports that Azerbaijani armed forces shelled residential areas in the occupied territories.
“The Azerbaijani army only strikes the enemy’s outposts with high-precision weapons. We are not dealing with civilians,” Dargahli said. “And they, unlike us, are shelling residential areas with large-caliber weapons, as a result of which a number of houses have been damaged in Azerbaijan’s Terter District.”
“In case Armenia continues shelling Azerbaijani settlements, the Azerbaijani armed forces will inflict retaliatory strikes on Armenia’s military facilities in residential areas,” the spokesman said.
