Azerbaijani FM meets incoming Indian Ambassador

Newly-appointed Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sanjay Rana has today presented a copy of his credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov.

FM Mammadyarov recalled his official visit to India in 2013, and noted that there were good opportunities for cooperation in energy, tourism, information and communication technologies, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.

The Minister also gave detailed information about the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and noted Armenia ignored 4 resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council.

The Indian Ambassador said his country completely supported Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

They also noted that high-level reciprocal visits would contribute to expanding bilateral ties between the two countries.

Minister Mammadyarov wished the Ambassador success in his tenure.
