Azerbaijani-Lithuanian relations discussed in Lithuanian Seimas

Head of Working Group on Azerbaijani-Lithuanian inter-parliamentary ties Kamran Nabizade, MPs Mukhtar Babayev and Elshad Hasanov have met Lithuanian officials. The Azerbaijani delegation has met Loreta Grauzinienė, Speaker of the Seimas, Andrius Krivas, deputy minister of foreign affairs of Lithuania Former Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius.
The Azerbaijani delegation highlighted the country`s economic, cultural achievements gained over the last years. Kamran Nabizade provided an insight into the cause and consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The delegation said Armenian Armed Forces must be withdrawn from Azerbaijan`s occupied territories.
Loreta Graužinienė praised development of inter-parliamentary ties, adding that strengthening ties in economic and humanitarian fields would give a push to deepening bonds between the two countries.
The delegation then met Former Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius. They discussed current state of relations between the two countries. Mukhtar Babayev spoke about the energy projects carried out under the initiative of Azerbaijan.
In a meeting with Andrius Krivas, deputy minister of foreign affairs of Lithuania the parties said there was good potential for developing relations between the two countries.
The delegation then met members of the Lithuanian Parliament.
Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Lithuania Hasan Mammadzade was also present at the meetings.
