Azerbaijani Prime Minister meets participants of international conference
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade has met participants of an international conference titled “Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line – new opportunities for the development of the historical Great Silk Road”.
Rasizade highlighted the latest achievements of Azerbaijan`s economy, and stressed the importance of implementation of Azerbaijan-initiated transnational projects, including Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.
The Azerbaijani PM noted the important role of the North-South and East-West transport corridor in the geopolitical map of the region.
Touching upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Rasizade said Armenia’s aggressive intentions impeded regional cooperation and the implementation of joint projects. He also noted that there was no solution to the conflict rather than on the basis of norms of international law and principles of the territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.
The participants of the conference stressed the importance of the conference in terms of the development of regional cooperation and modernization of the transport infrastructure.
