“Kazakhstan is interested in intensification of cooperation in the field of geology with Azerbaijan”, said Azerbaijani ambassador to Kazakhstan Rashad Mammadov, as he met with chairman of the Committee for Geology and Subsoil Use of the Kazakh Ministry of Investment and Development Bazarbay Nurabayev.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of geology between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation.
Rashad Mammadov described Caspian as the sea connecting the two countries, stressing the contribution of Azerbaijani experts in Kazakhstan's oil exploration and extraction, generally in the establishment and development of oil industry, during the Soviet era.
In turn, Bazarbay Nurabayev agreed with the views of ambassador, expressing his interest in intensification of cooperation in the field of geology with Azerbaijan. He also stressed the importance of benefiting from the experience of Azerbaijani specialists in preparation of geological map of the Caspian region.
