Polling stations have opened at Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Abu-Dhabi and Consulate General in Dubai as Azerbaijani citizens in the UAE are voting in a referendum on amendments to the Constitution.
Voter turnout has been high in Abu-Dhabi where, according to ambassador Dashgin Shikarov, 56 out of 75 eligible voters have cast their ballots as of 10.15 local time. No frauds or irregularities have been registered, he said, adding that the voting is taking place in “a free and transparent” manner.
Consul General Parviz Shahbazov said voter turnout has been high at the polling station in Dubai.
The voting wraps up at 19:00 local time.
