Azerbaijani minister reveals plans to build new oil pipeline with Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are planning to lay new Eskene-Kuryk-Baku oil pipeline, said Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Natig Aliyev in an article published by local Respublika newspaper. According to the minister, the pipeline will measure 739 kilometres in length.

“Construction of this pipeline will enable Kazakhstan to export its oil to ports in Georgia and Turkey.”

“The initial annual capacity of the new pipeline will be 23-25 million tons with the possibility of future expansion to 56 million tons.”
