Azerbaijani peacekeepers leave for Afghanistan VIDEO

A group of 42 Azerbaijani peacekeepers operating as part of NATO's ‘Resolute Support’ non-combat mission left for Afghanistan, the Defense Ministry said.

The peacekeeping contingent of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces has been serving under the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.

Currently, the peacekeeping mission includes 94 Azerbaijani servicemen, 2 medical officers and 2 sappers.
