Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Elchin Afandiyev has met jury members of the 2nd Baku International Architectural Competition, Secretary General of International Union of Architects Thomas Vonier, architects Vasili Sgoutas, Michel Barmak and Haydar Ali.
Mr. Afandiyev spoke about the construction work carried out under President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in the capital and in the regions. The Deputy Premier noted that the implementation of projects by several well-known architects in Baku testified to their great interest in Azerbaijan.
He said the Heydar Aliyev Centre, Flame Towers, Baku Crystal Hall, which hosted the Eurovision Song contest, and other buildings were a vivid evidence that Baku had special place in the development of world architecture.
