Baku hosts EFPM 21st General Assembly

The 21st General Assembly of European Fair Play Movement (EFPM) has today kicked off in Baku.
In his remarks at the event, President of EFPM Christian Hinterberger noted that Baku has excellently hosted the joint Congress of EFPM and International Committee for Fair Play (CIFP).
He hailed the interesting discussions held in the two-day congress. “These discussions will contribute to the protection of the principles of fair games and increasing of transparency in the world. The organization has aimed to achieve the recognition of the principle of fair games in the world for many years,” he said.
The European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO) and the European Fair Play Movement then signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was inked by the President of ENGSO Carlos Cardoso and President of EFPM Christian Hinterberger.
President of the Swiss Taekwondo Federation Abdenbi Amhand made a presentation.
He highlighted the Azerbaijani athletes' achievements and high level organization of taekwondo tournament during Baku 2015 first European Games.
The event then featured a video clip highlighting the taekwondo competitions at the Olympic Games and major international tournaments.
The event culminated with the discussions of the reports of the EFPM President and the organization's financial body.
