Belarus calls on Baku and Yerevan to end hostilities on frontline
Minsk, April 3, AZERTAC
The Foreign Ministry of Belarus has called on Azerbaijan and Armenia to cease hostilities on the frontline and avoid any moves that can escalate violence and lead to casualties in the Karabakh region.
In a statement, the ministry expressed hope that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries would “use their authority and influence” to ensure de-escalation in the region and return the sides to the negotiating table.
“Belarus supports peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, and is deeply concerned about the eruption of deadly clashes on the frontline with the involvement of military hardware,” the ministry said.
