Boris Tadic: Azerbaijan is a country of particular importance in the South Caucasus
Baku, March 10, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan is a country of particular importance in the South Caucasus and plays a key role in transporting gas from the region to Europe,” said former Serbian President Boris Tadic as he was interviewed by journalists on the sidelines of the 4th Global Baku Forum.
"I listened attentively to the speech of President Ilham Aliyev at the forum. He hailed the importance of the transport corridors and energy transportation. These issues are of pivotal significance," the former Serbian President said.
Touching upon similarities between Azerbaijan and Serbia, Boris Tadic said: "Some construction companies of Azerbaijan are involved in building infrastructure in Serbia. There are good opportunities for developing cooperation in the energy sector too.” “I would like Serbia to join the South Caucasus corridor. There is a very good opportunity for this right now,” he added.
