Traditional gender lines in children’s toys are disappearing, as a young boy is the latest face of Barbie, according to New York Post.
The kid stars in a commercial introducing Moschino Barbie, a limited-edition version of the doll styled by the Italian luxury fashion house.
“Moschino Barbie is so fierce!” the boy says in the ad, putting a purse in Barbie’s hand.
He later answers a microscopic cell phone for Barbie, saying, “It’s for you, Moschino Barbie!” with a wink.
The ads did the trick — all 700 Moschino Barbies sold in less than an hour, even with a price tag of $150.
