Chairman of State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations meets Iranian Ambassador

Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan Mubariz Gurbanli has met Iranian ambassador to the country Mohsun Pakayin.
The Chairman highlighted fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, saying national leader Heydar Aliyev had huge role in development of these ties. “This policy has been successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.” He added.
Mr. Gurbanli praised religious relations between the two countries.
Mohsun Pakayin, in turn, said friendship and respect that lie at the heart of relations would further develop. The ambassador added they were interested in holding the joint projects within the fight against the religious radicalism and extremism. The Diplomat noted such meetings would further contribute to steadily development of relations between the two countries.
