Baku, August 10, AZERTAC

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) on Monday announced that it would issue a new 100-yuan bank note from November 12, according to www.business-standard.com.

The new bank note will be harder to counterfeit and easier for machines to read, the Global Times reported.

The design of the new bank note will remain largely the same as the 2005 series but it will have enhanced security features, PBOC said.

The 100-yuan note is the largest denomination of the Chinese currency.
