Baku, March 6 AZERTAC
“Cooperation of AZERTAC and Humboldt University of Berlin will contribute to promoting realities of Azerbaijan in Germany,” said head of the Department Azerbaijani History at the Humboldt University of Berlin, professor Eva Maria Auch as she met the agency`s Director General Aslan Aslanov.
They exchanged views on concrete priorities of cooperation.
Ms Maria Auch said the management of Humboldt University of Berlin praised the suggestions put forward at a previous meeting held at AZERTAC, adding the university`s specialists were ready to assist the German language service of the agency.
The sides stressed the necessity of holding master classes by German specialists for employees of AZERTAC in Baku and Berlin as part of the cooperation.
Professor Maria Auch said a guide-book about Azerbaijan has already been made and will be published. She noted the guide-book would play an important role in promoting the awareness of tourists who will visit Baku for the first European Games about Azerbaijan.
Director General Aslanov thanked the German professor for her efforts to deliver the realities of Azerbaijan to German society. Mr. Aslanov stressed the importance of developing cooperation between AZERTAC and Humboldt University of Berlin.
Ms Maria Auch highlighted her efforts to popularize Azerbaijan`s history, culture, literature and language.
She noted the possibility of jointly publishing a book on the history of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
They discussed the signing of an agreement on cooperation between AZERTAC and Humboldt University of Berlin.
Research Fellow at Azerbaijani History Department at Humboldt University of Berlin Rasim Mirzayev was also present at the meeting.
