Eötvös Loránd University announces scholarship program for international students

Hungarian Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) has announced the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program for international students. Stipendium Hungaricum is a scholarship program for foreign students, founded by the Hungarian government in 2013 and aiming to promote cultural understanding, economic and cultural relations between Hungary and other countries, the university said on its website. The program guarantees no tuition fee, monthly stipend, dormitory places or monthly accommodation costs, and medical insurance to all Stipendium Hungaricum students during their studies.
ELTE said it is inviting students from over 40 countries to participate in the program, to apply for the scholarship and study at ELTE. "For the academic year 2016/2017, ELTE offers 52 degree programs on six study areas to international students. The deadline for the students to submit the applications is 1 March 2016. Successful applicants can start their studies at ELTE in September 2016," the university said.
ELTE has been participating in the program since 2013/2014 and currently over hundred Stipendium Hungaricum students from 25 different countries study in 25 degree programs fully in English at five faculties.
