Ethiopian newspaper issues Azerbaijani Ambassador’s interview on first European Games

“The Ethiopian Herald” newspaper has published an interview of Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Permanent Representative to the African Union Elman Abdullayev on the Baku 2015 first European Games.
Highlighting the first European Games to be held in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador noted that more than 6,000 athletes in 20 sports would compete in the games.
The diplomat said Azerbaijan is fully ready for this prestigious event, adding the country has modern sports facilities.
The Ambassador noted on April 26, the official flame of the Baku 2015 first European Games was lit in Baku. More than 15,000 volunteers will participate in the European Games, he said.
Mr. Abdullayev said Azerbaijan will make a history as the country hosts the first European Games.
Highlighting the economic, social projects carried out in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador noted that the country hosted a range of international events, including the 3rd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
