Euractiv news portal publishes article about Azerbaijan

“Euractiv” news portal has published an article about Azerbaijan`s tourism potential, as well as its investment opportunities.
The article says: “Azerbaijan, a country which has been relying too much on its important oil and gas sector, is making moves to diversify and open its economy to investors, and to bring in more tourists. In an article published yesterday, Azerbaijan’s President, Ilham Aliyev, says that under the current circumstance, the goal of the country is to rapidly develop the non-oil sector in the coming years. For now, the non-oil sector accounts for about 70% of the country's gross domestic product.
The article also says: “According to reports, Azerbaijan is considering lifting the visa requirement for EU and Turkish nationals. Azerbaijanis and Turks have excellent relations, and understand each other without needing translation.
Reports indicate that Azerbaijan has not scrapped plans to host a F1 Grand Prix in Baku in June. The country is also preparing to host the Islamic Solidarity Games, a mini-Olympics of sorts, for the Islamic world.”
