Hungarian Ambassador receives honorary doctorate from Azerbaijan University of Languages
Honored for his contributions to developing friendship, cooperation, scientific and cultural ties between the two countries as well as efforts to promote Hungarian language in Azerbaijan. Ambassador Chutora received a diploma of the honorary doctor from rector of the University, MP Samad Seyidov.
Speaking to the ceremony, Mr. Seyidov hailed relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary as “rapidly developing”. “These relations are based on partnership and fraternity.”
Mr. Seyidov highlighted the activities of the University. Saying many foreign languages are taught in the University of Languages, the rector added that this year Hungarian language courses would be launched at the Regional Studies and International Relations departments. Mr. Seyidov hailed the Hungarian Ambassador`s role in the development of the two countries` cooperation in the fields of education and science. He recalled Mr. Chutora`s receiving an award from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation this May.
The rector also revealed plans to teach Hungarian language to students at the Philological, Journalism and Pedagogical departments.
Ambassador Chutora thanked the University of Languages for giving him the honorary doctor diploma.
He stressed the importance of Hungarian-Azerbaijani cooperation in the field of education.
The Ambassador said the teaching of Hungarian language at the Azerbaijani University of Languages would contribute to developing the relations between the two countries.
