Italian ANSA News Agency informs tourists about Baku

Italian ANSA News Agency has posted an article about Baku’s tourism prospects which are rapidly growing.
The article says: “Modern, striking, fashionable and charming - these are words one can certainly use to describe Azerbaijan’s capital Baku. Everyone who has visited the city one year ago meets totally different landscape from the previous one. Modern Western approach and traditional Eastern beauty harmonically exists in the city.
At each point in Baku one can observe both luxurious modern buildings and traces of Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, traditions and ancient history. The city has many prospects for presenting itself in a cultural level to the world. A special attention should be paid to Shirvanshah’s Palace and Maiden Tower which are included to UNESCO's World Heritage List. “Icharishar” State Historical-Architectural Reserve, State Puppet Theatre named after Abdulla Shaig, ancient bathhouses and many other places attract tourists with its history”.
The article stresses that Baku which was on the Silk Way was historically one of the main places of traders and travelers. The first museum to visit should be Azerbaijan’s Carpet Museum, thousands of carpets reserved here attracts interests of tourists here.
The author writes that talking about modern Baku, first of all one should mention world-known architect Zaha Hadid’s project Heydar Aliyev Center. As the symbol of modern Baku the “Flame Towers” complex, Heydar Aliyev Center too makes Azerbaijani capital more beautiful.
The article also touches upon energy rich Azerbaijan’s oil industry history. It notes that the tourist can get information by visiting 1884 Nobel brothers' residence - Villa Petroleum.
“Ateshgah” (fire temple) and Baku Nobel Heritage Fund which was established in 2004 were also highlighted in the post.
