Jordan, Azerbaijan: parliamentary relations expanding
Baku, April 25 (AZERTAC). “Relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan have been enhancing. Friendly relations between the two countries’ presidents make broad basis in all fields, including development of interparliamentary cooperation” said the first deputy chairman of the Senate of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdelraouf al-Rawabdeh in the meeting with the members of the Milli Majlis working group on interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan-Jordan.
Head of the working group Arastun Javadov informed the visitors on the socio-economic development, international relations and Azerbaijan’s integration to Europe.
“The scope of relationship between Azerbaijan and Jordan has been strengthening and expanding. The Presidents play leading role on this”, Javadov underlined.
Abdelraouf al-Rawabdeh expressed satisfaction with their visit to Azerbaijan.
“After the restoration of independence, Azerbaijan has developed rapidly. The purpose of our visit is to hold consultations on international cooperation and development of inter-parliamentary relations with Azerbaijan.”
The members of the working group Astan Shahverdiyev, Chingiz Ganizade, visitors Marvan Al-Hamud, Safar Al-Huneyta and others shared views on the prospects for the development of relations between the two countries, the importance of mutual visits, the significance of Azerbaijan’s membership at the UN Security Council and other issues.
The speakers noted that Jordan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society was established 4 years ago. The Society plays an important role in the development of cultural relations.
