An annual ‘Kazan Autumn’ opera festival will start in Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, on August 30. Organized by the State Symphony Orchestra of Tatarstan, the festival will take place on the shore of the river Kazanka, next to the walls of the Kazan Kremlin.
This year the festival will bring together winner of the 65th Geneva International Music Contest Polina Pastirchak, soloist of Mariinski Theater Sergey Skorokhodov and soloist of Bolshoi Theater Andrey Zhilikhovski.
The program of the festival includes famous arias from operettas by Kalman, Legar, Strauss and Lou.
State Symphony Orchestra of Tatarstan conducted by Aleksandr Sladkovski organizes the festival for the fifth time.
