Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Nakhchivan State University
Rector, correspondent member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Saleh Maharramov spoke of the government`s attention to education in the country, and highlighted the activities of the University.
He said the University participated in 5 projects implemented under the TEMPUS program. “Thanks to development of student mobility our students continue their education in various European high schools.”
The Rector hailed 10 years cooperation with the Republic of Korea in the fields of science and education. Maharramov highlighted the university`s relations with Korean Kimchong and Busan Kyungsang universities. The centers for Korean culture and language studies have been created in the University. He said 350 citizens from 12 countries were studying in the University, and most of them were Korean students.
The Diplomat praised the successive implementation of a project with the KOICA on “Establishment of Electronic Education Network and Digital Multimedia Infrastructure for Nakhchivan State University”.
Ambassador Choi Suk-inn said such sustainable partnership in the fields of science, education and modern technologies served to approach of countries and nations to each other even more. The envoy spoke of the Embassy`s activity in this direction, and work done in the development of relations following his visit to Nakhchivan 2 years ago. He said the aim of his visit was inspection of implementation of project. Head of the Korean culture and language studies centers at the University Ryu Hichong informed the Diplomat on the activities of the center.
The Korean Diplomat also visited the center of information-communication technologies and university`s TV.
The Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the implementation of the project. They also discussed how to further develop the cooperation.
