“Azerbaijan’s position with sustainable economy is strengthening in international arena and British companies are interested in investing in Azerbaijan”, has told Lord Mayor of the City of London Alderman Alan Yarrow at the meeting with English delegation held at the State Committee for Securities.
Chairman of Azerbaijan State Committee for Securities Rufat Aslanli assessed the Azerbaijani-British bilateral relations as ‘highly’. Mr. Aslanli highlighted the current successful cooperation between the two countries in a number of fields including energy, non-oil sector, adding there were vast prospects for these relations.
The committee’s chairman noted that business cooperation in the field of financial markets, as well as expanding trade and investment ties contribute to mutual cooperation between the two countries.
Expressing confidence that reforms in Azerbaijan’s capital market would further contribute to highly developing prospects in this area, London’s Lord Mayor stressed the importance of integration of the two countries' stock markets.
The sides exchanged views on the current state of financial markets, investment resources market, developing dialogue in corporate area, as well as prospects for mutual cooperation.
