Lowering temperature of feet provokes disease, experts warn
Baku, January 24 AZERTAC
Dr. Ron Eccles from the Center of colds at Cardiff University spent 25 years to examine why cold feet increase the risk of colds. Now he is ready to announce the findings. Thus, many bacteria, which cause colds, exist in the body without any signs. However, as soon as the temperature of legs falls, the symptoms, such as rhinitis occur. And then you are at a risk of a full-fledged disease.
When feet are cold, vessels in the nose get narrowed and the blood flow is reduced. So the body prevents the rapid loss of heat. But blood contains immune cells that fight infection. Consequently, when the feet are cold, nasal mucosa and throat become less protected. Then, in this situation nose hairs work less effectively, which facilitates the penetration of pathogens into the body.
Therefore, recommendations are simple: keep feet warm and dry, and do not forget about the nose, because a perfect breeding temperature for the pathogens is created right there. And at this moment immunity (its primary response) does not work well. The most dangerous temperature for the nose is 33 degrees Celsius. Lowering of the temperature not only of the nose, but of the feet as well makes you at a risk of the disease. You can not make your back ill from cold. But lowering the temperature in the oral cavity does not lead to the risk of infection increases.
