Maryam Alakbarli’s works are described as symbols of connection between creativity and life. The full energy of the artist's work is the call of her heart. Each artwork of Maryam is a hymn of joy, the call of her inner world. Her works are like a nostalgic melody, expressed through the improvisation of living colors.

Delightful works of the talented artist Maryam Alakbarli have been on display in several countries of the world. She won the hearts of art lovers with her personal exhibitions in Dubai, Moscow, Rome, Riga and other cities, but the most beloved city of Maryam is Paris. From a very young age Maryam was fond of music and drawing. She made the first steps in art in Baku, then continued her studies in Moscow. The talented artist also studied at the Higher School of Decorative Arts and Higher School of Fine Arts in Paris.

The art historian and critic Janet Zwinzhenberger hailed the fact that the opening ceremony of Maryam Alakbarli`s exhibition was organized at Galerie de Buci. "The young artist has lived in Paris for several years and is closely acquainted with the French culture, her artworks were on show at various exhibition salons of the French capital… Today we see that in her new works she already uses new colors, gives preference to sand tones. But she did not leave aside the familiar red and pink tones in her paintings... The young artist made changes to her drawing technique. In these works we can clearly feel the influence of Matisse," said the critic.

Journalist Kyra Brenzinger noted that she has known Maryam Alakbarli and her works for several years. "Every time I learn about the organization of her exhibitions I am happy to attend them. I follow her activity. I really love her choice of colors," she said. "I compare Maryam with Matisse, her works are also influenced by the great French artists Gauguin and Cezanne. I am sure that her works will conquer the largest museums in the world. Maryam deserves it," Brenzinger said.
