A meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers has made a statement on escalation of situation in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The statement says that CIS countries expressed deepest concern about escalation of the situation in the line of contact.
The statement also says: “We call on sides to strictly observe the cessation of hostilities and to show restraint in order to avoid new casualties.
Heads of CIS Foreign Ministries also expressed the necessity to take measures to stabilize the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and to intensify efforts for a peaceful settlement of the conflict based on the principles defined by the OSCE Minsk Group.
