Since a deadly blast in one of its offshore platforms on April 1, Petroleos Mexicanos seems to have missed 2.7 million barrels of oil.
Despite the company claimed the disaster affected about 1.5 million barrels of production, Mexico's Energy Ministry reports shows that actual damage is nearly 4.2 million barrels.
The disparity raises questions about how Mexico's lone oil operator does keep investors in the loop about its spreading businesses.
