The fifth meeting of the ministers of economy of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) has featured the signing of several memorandums in Astana. The ministers signed memorandums of mutual understanding between the public authorities of CCTS states on cooperation in the field of investment statistics, experience exchange in the field of investment climate and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Turkish Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, Kazakh Minister of National Economy Erbolat Dosayev, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Sahib Mammadov, Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Economy Daniyar Imanaliev and Deputy Secretary General of Turkic Council Omer Kocaman were among the participants of the meeting.
The agenda included issues related to the strengthening of multilateral trade and economic cooperation between the Turkic-speaking countries, the interaction of working groups to improve the investment climate, economic diversification, development of entrepreneurship, the creation of a joint investment fund.
Dosayev proposed reducing trade barriers as a measure to promote trade relations.
