Minsk hosts European Union of Sports Press congress

Sports press is one of the key directions of media in Belarus, said Belarusian minister of information Liliya Ananich as she addressed the opening ceremony of the European Union of Sports Press congress held in Minsk, according to BelTA.

The congress brings together more than 40 representatives from 27 countries, who will discuss fight against manipulation of results in professional sports and mass media rights in Europe (radio broadcasting).

The attendees will also see presentations of the European Youth Olympic Festival 2019 in Minsk.

On the sidelines of the congress, International Sports Press Association (AIPS) and European Taekwondo Union (ETU) are expected to sign a Memorandum on cooperation.
