National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus hosted a regular meeting of the organizing committee on preparation for the international scientific conference "25 years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: results and prospects". First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Vladimir Garkun and Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov attended the meeting. The participants agreed four sections of the upcoming conference: "Economic cooperation and improvement of the legal framework of CIS member states"; "Science and innovation cooperation of CIS member states"; "Collaboration of CIS member states in the sphere of education, culture, tourism, sports and youth policy"; "Cooperation of CIS member states in the sphere of security and fight against crime and terrorism."
The international conference will be held in Minsk on September 28-29 and bring together more than 200 representatives from all member countries of CIS, including Azerbaijan, ambassadors and permanent representatives of the CIS countries, members of diplomatic missions and representations of international organizations accredited in Belarus, scientists and economists.
