“Serbia supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, including Azerbaijan,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia Nebojsa Stefanovic as he met with Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku.
At the meeting, the ministers hailed the level of relations between the two countries and mutual support within international organizations.
Nebojsa Stefanovic highlighted his country`s tourism and healthcare potential, and invited Azerbaijani companies to invest in Serbia.
The sides discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia, and ways of further developing the relations in a variety of fields.
Stressing the importance of joint fight against terrorism and organized crime, they emphasized the necessity of strengthening the exchange of information between law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
Touching upon the activity of Serbian companies in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani companies in Serbia, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said that there is great potential for further cooperation. He expressed his hope that this visit will contribute to the bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres.
The sides also exchanged views on the strengthening of the legal framework.
